Lake Manyara National Park is a compact but incredibly diverse safari destination located beneath the dramatic Great Rift Valley escarpment.

The park is internationally known for its rare tree-climbing lions, often seen resting along acacia branches — a behaviour that has made Manyara one of Tanzania’s most unique wildlife destinations.

Its ecosystem includes lush groundwater forests, open floodplains, acacia woodland, and the alkaline lake itself, which attracts thousands of flamingos and countless bird species.
