The Reserve lies within the arid and semi-arid climatic condition. It is bordered by the Ewaso Nyiro River to the South and also which separates it from the Buffalo springs National Reserve.
The reserve boasts of the Samburu Six (rare northern specialist species) such as the Somali Ostrich, Grevy Zebra, Gerenuk, The Beisa Oryx (Samburu Special), Guenther’s Dik Dik and the Reticulated Giraffe.
The reserve is also home to large herds of Elephants while predators like the Lion, Cheetah and Leopard can be spotted in this rugged terrain. Samburu National Reserve is also a birding spot having over 450 species of birds.
You will be met by one of our company representatives at either the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport or Hotel/place of residence for introduction and given a short briefing about the Safari. Thereafter, proceed to Lake Nakuru National Park.
Arrive in time for check-in, lunch and a short relaxation, then proceed for an afternoon game drive.
The afternoon game drive will give you the experience of diverse bird species, with the combination of beautiful surroundings of the escarpment and picturesque ridges on the floor of the rift valley in this beautiful, salty water lake full of wildlife. The park is also surrounded by wooded and bushy grasslands with eye-catching flocks of flamingos that colour the shore of the lake pink.
Return to the Camp/Lodge for a shower, relaxation, and after that, dinner.

Early in the morning, wake up, prepare, have breakfast and check out of the Camp/Lodge.
Thereafter, start your journey to the Maasai Mara National Reserve.
Arrive in time for check-in, lunch, and a short relaxation, then proceed for an afternoon game drive.
The sunset over the African horizon will be the peak of this day as you experience the marvelous views of the great Maasai Mara sundowner and round your evening game drive.
Return to the Camp for a shower, relaxation, and after that dinner

On this day, you will explore the marvellous Masai Mara Reserve to unveil the magic that lies in the Big Five! From full-day game viewing with packed Lunch Boxes in Kenya’s finest wildlife reserve, searching for the Big Five and other animals.
You may also opt for an early morning game drive searching for the Big cats making a kill, then return to the Camp to freshen up and have breakfast. Spend the rest of the midmorning at your leisure, either swimming, reading a book, or relaxing. Later, have lunch and proceed for another afternoon game drive in search of other animals.
We suggest that you complement your Safari with an optional Hot Air Balloon Safari Experience early in the morning at an extra cost. From there, you can proceed with the game drives till evening, combing the reserve in search of wildlife. You can also visit the Maasai Mara Cultural Village to learn more about their Culture and traditions at an extra cost.

This will be the final day of the Safari. It’s time to bid you farewell as you depart Kenya, hopefully soon to return.
You will have breakfast, check out of the Camp/lodge, and drive to Nairobi.
A Premier Safaris Travel representative will meet you in Nairobi, either at the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport or Hotel/place of residence to bid you goodbye as you proceed for your onward schedule.
